The weekend started out with a fail of a photo shoot. This is the best picture I could get of the two of us. Not too impressive! We were alone for the last time this weekend (Mike hunting one last time) and clearly we had mixed emotions about it.
I went to body flow again on Saturday (awesome!! so much work to do before I'm even moderately ok at it. It definitely focuses on my weakest areas) and Josie hung out in the Y playstation. It's convenient, but they have a ridiculous amount of rules/stipulations and its frustrating to work with. They won't feed her, I need to make a reservation before she can come but can't make it too far in advance, It's $3 an hour and another $.75 every additional 15 minutes, and it goes on and on. I'm still not impressed that I have to pay extra for this on top of my membership. It's convenient, but I am not planning on using it very often with those prices. Membership is going to be $50 for me after I turn 25 (one month!) so that adds up pretty quick!
She did great there though, and also did great when I had her in the nursery on Sunday morning. It's so strange how she can do just fine with total strangers and no Mom or Dad in sight, but then she'll freak out if someone else is holding her (family) and she can't see us anymore. I hope she grows out of it soon! Poor Papa (my dad) can't take much more rejection.
Mid sneeze. Bahahah.
We went for a walk with Aunt Liz, and visited Aunt Lara at work. I am fairly certain that I wouldn't have been able to get out of bed this morning if I had gone home after body flow and sat down instead of moving around. I do like the feeling of being sore though. Nothing beats the good kind of pain that comes with an intense workout.
She's pleased with herself. We attempted shopping today with Aunt Lara but all three of us were dragging. It might have had something to do the fact that everyone in North Dakota was in town today. I completely hate weekend shopping from now until after Christmas. G.r.o.s.s.
Mike finally came home (oh he was missed by all of us, Buckley included) and we headed to the exciting land of Target. I could walk around that store for hours. Hours...
OH and my parents came up to have some supper. Mediterranean Linguine. A lot of basil, too many noodles, and not enough sauce. I'll still eat all those left overs though...
Oh and who doesn't love a good old Twilight marathon?! That happened. On Saturday. Those cheesy movies make me so warm and fuzzy inside. Give me some popcorn, diet coke, and dim the lights and you have one fabulous evening at the casa de Deyle.
I've started watching the show "Giuliana and Bill" and I'm completely addicted. They aren't trashy and they have a reality show! Why is it so fascinating to see glimpses of other people's lives. It means nothing to me that they are famous. I just love to see how other people interact.
She found the carpet this weekend. She also learned how to roll across the entire room (baby gate is needed desperately upstairs) and is doing her best to scoot in all different directions. She can also sit up for extended periods of time if I set her up first. Girl makes me proud.
She's slowly figuring out how to swallow her cereal and she thinks it is the funnest thing to open her mouth and get the spoonful of food. Once its in, its hilarious to just laugh with a mouthful of food and drool pouring out. I should really get this on video.
I'm always happy when she doesn't come up with a fistful of dog hair. My standard of living has significantly decreased since we got Buckley. Loveable dog has a lot of
BFFs for life.
She is so cute! I love her hair.
ReplyDeleteI love it too!! I was so hoping she'd have a thick head of hair when she was born and she did!! I can't wait to style it when its longer... except I can already tell it is going to be a fight...
