Ten things to know about me (the her in us):
1. I'm a little obsessed with color, navy blue and teal, preferably all together. I have most of it incorporated in the nursery (not your typical nursery colors but I'm a rebel like that) and it's taking over the living room too. It just makes me so happy.
2. I love love love playing piano and wish I had more music. Too bad I am cheap and only can justify buying new music once or twice a year. Once I was able to stay home full time, I started giving piano lessons and I enjoy it quite a bit. It's great to have a few hours a week to "work" while still being able to be at home with my kiddos.
3. My favorite band is the Avett Brothers and I can listen to them on repeat for an entire day (probably longer although I haven't done it yet). It's true, ask my husband. Then look them up. Awesome. Also, Mumford and Sons and She and Him are also fabulous.
4. I like to run. But I don't commit 100% so I go in cycles... I hope to break that and become a full fledged runner someday... we'll see.
5. I always hoped I'd love being a parent and so far its even better than I imagined it could be. How can these little beautiful girls make my life so much better when it was already great before?
6. I'm an all or nothing kind of person. If I feel crafty, I go crazy and spend every free second on projects until I burn out... its exhausting and I am relieved my hubby can handle it since he keeps me sane when I freak out.
7. I love Diet Coke and I know it isn't the best for you but it's my weakness. There, I said it. I am also a huge coffee drinker (as of the birth of daughter number two) and really need to get a grip on the caffeine intake.
8. Even though I've had this blog for years, I still don't consider myself a legit writer and feel like somewhat of a fraud when I claim to be a "blogger."
9. I love to read but am so picky about what books I choose. I do read ebooks on my tablet but the options are not very impressive so I'm really in a pickle. Being cheap doesn't always work with fancy technology. Plus there is nothing like holding a real book in your hands on a rainy day.
10. I think it is fun to roam around thrift stores and antique shops but never seem to have the time to do it. 80% of the girls' clothes come from thrift stores or second hand stores and most of it was hardly worn when we got them.
