I couldn't help myself this weekend. I had to buy Josie more clothes. She is way more fun to dress up than I am! I'll try to post pictures with her in these fun new outfits over the next couple of days.
She looked tired this morning, but was wide awake and generally happy. I've been trying to get her to eat rice cereal every day (usually in the morning) but she hasn't really got the whole "swallow" thing down. There was a moment on Saturday where she did swallow it (most likely on accident) but it didn't stick and she still just spits it out and laughs at me. It's really a timing thing too. If I try to feed her when she's really hungry, she gets super mad and just wants her bottle. If she isn't hungry enough, she just wants to play with her toys and not focus on the food. She can't possibly be my daughter if she doesn't want food all the time...??
Random info for the day. I've been working on crocheting a hat for myself for about a month. Why is it taking so long, you ask? Well I get started, check my progress, dislike it, and undo it all. I've probably done this about 15 times. The hat I wanted to make ended up being way too hard and the directions were coded in the crochet language I don't know yet. The second hat was just from a girl on Youtube and I thought I understood her but couldn't get the same results. The third hat was not the type of hat I wanted (I want chic slouchy hat yo) but the Youtube lady was super easy to understand. I almost had that one done. Then I decided I'd rather just figure out the first Youtube (second hat) version because I would actually wear it. Plus I'd learned more by this point so I thought I could figure it out.
So I am still trying. It's easier, but I have trouble keeping it from twisting (crocheting in a circle is hard for me guys) and usually have to undo sections of it after noticing that its getting messed up. This perfectionist thing is really raining on my parade.
Mike went hunting this weekend and successfully got his deer! He was really excited to go (as always) but even more so this year because he had a buck tag and hasn't had one of those for a long time (if ever? I think he did once before I knew him). His dad hasn't got one yet so they will go out again before the season is done, but I know Mike was just excited to get one. He's only gotten one in the time that we've been together (4.5 yrs) and I was beginning to think that I was a bad luck charm for him. Good thing I don't believe in luck ;). To my horror, he told me that he was going to hang it in the garage, but its over at his parents' place and I'm fine with that. I will eat it, but I don't want to stare at it. Gross.
We successfully made it through a weekend without Buck destroying our floors. Or eating any of Josie's toys (well, destroying them anyway, he did get a nibble on one particular duck). Or escaping from our "easily escapable in need of repair" fenced in yard. Good job, boy. I knew you could do it. Now we'll probably keep you for at least another month or so. (We've got to keep him on edge or he'll get even more lazy).
I went to Body Pump again this morning. Kicked my butt big time. So tired, but yet so happy. I also went to Body Flow on Saturday (yoga/pilates/Tai Chi thing combo) and realized that there is zero flexibility in this body. Notta. Zip. I have some serious work to do all around. Uggggh. I'm tired thinking about it.
I just think she's so cute when she sleeps all cuddled in her blanket. (Don't worry, I didn't leave the room with her in this potentially suffocating situation. She just loves to snuggle with it... and that's fine with me.
Not to brag, but Josie rocked the time change. We just slept in that extra hour and she didn't even know that anything was different. Call me blessed!!! I am so relieved because I was nervous about it. Big time.
Oh he's funny. He loves to snuggle too, can't you tell?
Happy Monday you all! (See how non-Texan I am? Straight laced Midwestern right here. :) I'm ok with that I guess.)
Cute outfit, but do love the sleeping baby one, always surprises me that they pick favorties at such a young age.
