1. I read on a blog somewhere that the proper way to say "I bid you ado" is with a-d-o instead of a-d-i-e-u. Suddenly I'm the expert and very judgemental when I see it used incorrectly. #whoamianyways??
2. When our routine is off at night and Josie is almost asleep, sometimes I'll purposefully skip steps like reading her a book or wrapping her in a blanket so she's "straightjacketed" or even just putting her in her pajamas. The funny part? It has never failed (never!) that I always end up starting the whole routine over again and spending at least 3 times the amount of time that I was so desperately trying to save. Seriously. When will I learn.
3. I get over-the-top disappointed when I find holes in my clothing. Like I just lost a friend forever kind of disappointed. Part of the reason is because my long torso and general body shape makes it hard to replace these clothing items, but part of it is just because I'm cheap and don't like to shop for clothes that I actually need. Its never fun to have to buy something. I like to just magically find something that wasn't a necessity. There is a difference in types of shopping here. I'd way rather just shop for something for our home or for Josie. Way. More. Fun.
4. I think everyone has certain...shall we say... hygiene... habits that others would judge and ultimately disapprove of. While I'm not ready to confess all of my little secrets, I will admit that I do make a habit of being completely inconsistent. One day I'll be freaking out using a strong cleaner about how disgusting everything is and how many germs must be everywhere, and another day I'll just wipe it up with a plain washcloth and call it good. I also will admit that I do the latter more often. Yikes. Nobody come check out my home for germs... you'd run away screaming. My philosophy is that it only makes us stronger. We are some strong people!

Blog Awards
I have no idea what this is. :) Let's just go with it.
Thanks Emily for the blog award! Of course I will pass it along.
Rules:
1. Thank the person who gave you the award
2. Pass it on the 15 people
3. List 7 things about yourself
Passing it onto:
Whew that was hard work. Ok on the to the next part.
Fourteen things about yourself:
1. Every single morning I have a mug of coffee with some Belgian Chocolate creamer. My day is completely off kilter without it. But with it, I feel unstoppable.
2. My proudest moment this week was figuring out how to add spaces in between each paragraph on this little blog from my tablet. I had to go into the html view and it scared the heck out of me. I'm such a wimp.
3. I played tennis in high school and miss it a lot. I wasn't half bad, but since I never play I just keep getting worse and worse.
4. I love love love Peanut M&Ms. mmm... Especially with Diet coke. Oh, and popcorn. This is the best snack in all of creation.
5. One of my favorite things about Netflix is how you can get completely involved in a show and get to see it from start to finish without interruptions. I have watched so many shows on here that I would never have had time to watch, and also I get to just ignore all the shows actually on TV that don't interest me at all.
6. I so badly want to be a couponer (word? probably not) but the time it takes and the organization is above me and I can't grasp my mind around it.
7. I've just recently developed a love of salmon and have also discovered that you can get it for a decent price at Sam's Club.
8. I'm completely back in with working out. Loving it. Every. Single. Time.
9. We have these monster cookies at work that are completely irresistible. I try so hard to not eat a ton of them but they tempt with their delicious peanut buttery smell.
10. I used to dye my hair but then I permed it (big mistake) after dying it and it was completely destroyed. After chopping it off, it took like 5 years to grow it back. Not worth it!!
11. I love French style furniture. I am constantly on the hunt for a French couch/love seat but the only ones I find are either in Europe or way out of my price range.
12. I am completely in love with Josie's big blue eyes.
13. I like to look on Pinterest for only 2 or 3 things. Organization tips, DIY ideas, and recipes. Everything else is wasted on me.
14. I still haven't figured out what the point of this little blog post is, but it's fun to read everyone else's!
Josie's 6 month appointment
Last week, we were supposed to meet the doctor at 8:30 AM. We missed it. I called within a half hour to apologize and set up a new appointment and it all seemed fine. Then we got a nasty letter saying that we better not do it again or we will get the boot. I would also like to point out that the letter was just a preprinted letter where they crossed out parts to personalize it. With pen. Classy...
That being said, I really like my doctor, I mean Josie's doctor. He's great. The nurse is great too. It's such a relief to have good health service. I was so tired of all of it before we switched to this independent practice.
Josie is now 27 inches long which puts her in the 90th percentile.
She is 17 lbs 10 1/2 oz which puts her in the 75th percentile.
Her head is 17 1/4 inches which is also in the 75th percentile.
Long and lean like her dad! You can't tell by looking at her though. She is so roly poly I just can't get enough. Those big cheeks just crack me up. Don't hate me when you are older, girly, it's just too cute!
She did ok with the shots, but I'm glad to know that from this point on there will be less shots therefore less crying and pain later and sleepless nights. (I know there will still be sleepless nights, just not for this exact reason).
We also get to start using a sippy cup (any thoughts on what she should be drinking? I'm not a fan of juice this early) and giving her the option of feeding herself (again what kinds of food should we put in front of her? mashed bananas doesn't seem to be the best choice).
She's growing up too fast.

Photo shoot (we do these a lot)
Aunt-proclaimed bonding time.
Ok let's smile for the picture!
Um... Josie? Over here!
Ok good job. Wait. Who's that??
Oh well she's fun! Let's make me throw up...ready, go!
Oh man fun times. Did you see that mom?
This block is so good
Aunt: She likes the block more than me.
No explanation for this one...
Mom,why are you laughing? I don't get it. We're just sitting here.
Success! It only took 200 20 tries.
I need a moment to take it all in. Too much fun, too much fun...
I'm sure there will be many more bonding moments to come!
