From Buckley

Buckley's been bugging me all week to say this very important message for him.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! My year's been great, but things have changed more than I was prepared for. The biggest change is that there is this little human that is always grabbing at me and pulling my hair. I pretend I don't like her but in reality I like to just sit and watch her most of the time. She's cheap entertainment, what can I say?

I'm in the process of overcoming an addiction. You see, since that little human came into my house, these little rubber things have also come. And. they. are. delicious. But they make me sick. It's a tough life, but someone's gotta live it.

The best thing about my life is that I get the rule the house all day since the humans usually are gone. I like to just lay around and bask in the sun, but sometimes I like to just lay in the bedroom with the shades drawn. Things get crazy around here so the peace and quiet does a dog good.

Here's hoping that the next year is even better than this one!
Love,
the Buck

Weekend Update

It's been a while since I've blogged. There isn't really a reason other than me being lazy. And Christmas is only a week away!! I can hardly contain myself.

Josie still hasn't quite mastered crawling. I'm almost wondering if she's just decided it isn't worth it since she can scoot her way across the floor (slowly but surely) and get what she wants.

Her hair has gotten crazy lately. There's no taming it... It just seems to be so long all of a sudden! I can put it in a ponytail easily and therefore hide the craziness, but who wants the same exact thing every single day. Josie doesn't. I'm pretty sure she told me that the other day.

All of my presents are wrapped and under the tree. I should take a picture because it is the most perfect image! I cleaned up a bunch yesterday so my house is at least presentable enough to get through another week. That's my goal lately. The thought of cleaning the whole thing, truly deep cleaning, is completely overwhelming and I avoid it at all costs.

I'm going to try to make something from Pinterest today. I'll let you know how it goes. It looks amazing but you just never know. I think most people repin things because they look good, not because they've tried and liked it.

Here's hoping the week just flies by! (And the weekend creeps by...)

Merry Christmas!

Our Christmas card this year:

It took a lot of outtakes to get this semi-decent-thrown-together-in-5-minutes picture, but I'm happy with it!
We're all looking in the same direction and nobody has a double chin (you know, my lean husband is always struggling with that).

The funny part is that the entire time we took these pictures, the dogs were crazy energetic because it was chilly but not freezing and we were all outside which never happens. They were running, barking, jumping, all while we were trying to hold Buckley in place and get him to look like a pretty posed pup. Yah right.

Maybe next year I'll have a picture ready before I decide to order the card. It is a lot of pressure to take the picture, edit it, and get a card ordered in one night.

That being said, I am doing great as far as projects this year for Christmas. Most gifts wrapped, all gifts purchased (except Josie's stocking gifts...any ideas?) and no baking planned that could potentially overwhelm me. Here's to me enjoying the season this time around without stress. Plus I get to see everything through an almost 6 month old girl's eyes which is so fun and enlightening!

For real, Merry Christmas. :)

Bad hair day

Dad called it good and left her looking like this.

Anybody have a hairbrush?

I guess this isn't much better.

Somebody get this girl a hairstylist.
