Weekend Update

This weekend was completely uneventful. I loved it

I worked on Saturday morning. Mike went to an estate sale and cut up our pumpkin from Halloween. We're just a bit behind. I was going to just throw it out, but he was ambitious. We ended up with two pies and seventeen bags of pumpkin ready for more pie. Anyone want some?

Josie loves pumpkin. No sugar, salt, or pepper needed. Gross??

We tried another church this weekend and really liked it. We also got there an hour early and just sat around. #awkward

Christmas is in two weeks!

I haven't wrapped presents yet. Someone get me motivated.

I'm back, YMCA gym. Bring it! The two week hiatus is officially over and I am ready to get a beating.

I got new jeans and they are cheap, cute, and not maternity pants! I emphasize this because buying pants post pregnancy has not happened. I felt so much better immediately and now only want to wear jeans. I have missed this sweet sweet feeling. I used to only like to wear jeans but the last year made that tough since the usual pairs didn't fit.

Ok well have a great week bloggy world!

Last chance for swinging

We threw together a quick trip to the park before it got dark on Saturday. We had Josie swinging again. She wasn't quite as excited as last time but daddy got to see and we couldn't resist when it was SOOO NICE OUTSIDE. Global warming must be legit because this is the best weather I remember experiencing so close to Christmas. No complaints here!

We also had Josie's first experience with sliding on the playground slide but again, she was a little overwhelmed and not so into it. I don't blame her. With that ridiculously huge snowsuit (love it though, how could you not?), boots, hat, and mittens, it's overwhelming just to get ready. She's a trooper, making her mamma proud!

Spider monkey

This morning, when I got up, Josie was doing her usual chatting thing that she's started doing in the morning. I turned the lights on so she wouldn't start crying (she must feel neglected in the dark) and went back to finish getting ready. When I came back to check on her, this is what I found.

She really is a spider monkey. It will be no time at all before she is climbing out of that crib. Since that's not an option currently, eating her way out will have to work.

Gotta love her creativity!

Five Months

In my head, I always skipped over five months and went straight to six. All of the books have so many milestones happening at six months.

But here's the thing. Five months is AWESOME.

She's all over the place. I love it! Crazy hair, chubby legs and cheeks, big beautiful blue eyes. She's got my heart 100%.

Happy five months little lady!
